Dr. Zureikat received his M.D. from the Royal University of Baghdad in Iraq in 1969, and completed his residency at Lunmila Hospital in Amman, Jordan. Following his residency, he joined a research program in Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
His first professional position was first as clinic physician and later as Director of the Industrial Clinics of the Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Zureikat was responsible for the oversight of healthcare needs for all Aramco employees and dependents.
Upon coming to the U.S.A. in the late 1970’s, Dr. Zureikat completed an internship at Christ Community Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL and a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s hospital in Chicago. Between 1982 and 1992, Dr. Zureikat owned and operated several clinics as part of Medwest Consultants, Inc. Dr. Zureikat provided physician services and managed other healthcare professionals in the areas of chiropractic care, physical therapy and radiology.
From 1992 to the present, Dr. Zureikat has served as the President and Chairman of the Greater Chicago Medical Association, Inc., where he oversees and coordinates care for 7,000 HMO members and 226 physicians.
At the Advanced Center for Health and Pain Management, Dr. Zureikat provides general medical services and oversees the Medically Directed Weight Loss Program.
