Dr. Wayne Cichowicz, Naprapathic Physician, is a Pain Management Specialist who practices Physical, Functional and Manual Medicine to relieve pain and regenerate the normal function of the body. Naprapathy focuses on the evaluation and treatment of neuro-musculosketetal conditions. Doctors of Naprapathic Medicine are connective tissue specialists.

Dr. Cichowicz offers a unique approach in treating pain, sports injuries and neuromuscular conditions with FDA Approved Cold Lasers. The doctor has received training and is certified through the North American Association for Laser Therapy as a Laser Meridian Therapist (Laserologist). Since 1979, he has been in private practice and has helped thousands of patients.

Dr. Cichowicz graduated from the National College of Naprapathic Medicine in 1979. He was class valedictorian and received the highest clinical award for his graduating class as he treated over 600 patients during his clinical internship. At graduation, he was awarded two certificates for Academic Excellence both in Basic Science and Naprapathic Science where he maintained a cumulative 3.88 grade point average during his four years of study in both curriculums.

The doctor is a Board Certified Naprapath and is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois. Dr. Cichowicz is also a Board Certified Clinical Nutritional Specialist through the American College of Clinical Nutrition (C.N.S.) and is an Illinois Licensed Dietitian.

Dr. Cichowicz is currently on the faculty of the National College of Naprapathic Medicine and is President of the National College of Naprapathic Medicine Alumni Association. In 1982 he received the Philanthropist Award from the American Holistic Health Sciences Association, and in 1983 he received their Research Award for his research on headaches. In 1999, Dr. Cichowicz was named and recorded to Who’s Who in the World and in 1998 he was named and recorded to Who’s Who in America.

As well as being a faculty member at NCNM, he has served many capacities at the college including College President, Dean of Academics, Director of Admissions and Admission’s Counselor. He also served as Vice-President of the National Board of Naprapathic Examiners and was a member of the first team that wrote the Illinois Comprehensive Naprapathic State Testing Examination. Today, the doctor is the Dean of Academics and serves as the Coordinator of the Continued Education Department and Chairman of the Nutritional Department for the college. He also serves as the Chairman of NCNM Graduation Committee and is the publisher of “Dynamic Issues” the alumni publication and is President of the National College of Naprapathic Medicine Alumni Association.

Dr. Cichowicz has been involved in many of the professions associations. He is a Fellow of the American Back Society (F.A.B.S.) and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management (D.A.A.P.M.) He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Society of Laser, International Association of Integrative Medicine, Institute of Functional Medicine and the North American Naprapathic Association. He served as Treasurer, Director and Sgt of Arms for the Illinois Naprapathic Association.

For half a decade Chicago radio listeners enjoyed tuning in to hear Dr. Cichowicz host his weekly one hour radio program called “That Healthy Talk Show” where he explained various health conditions and answered questions from listeners that would call in to the live show. Dr Cichowicz also was the co-host of the monthly television show “Naprapathic Medicine” on Can TV Ch 21 Chicago.

Dr. Cichowicz has treated many notable Radio and Television Personalities and Professional Athletes over his many years of practice.

Dr. Cichowicz is a Licensed Naprapath and Licensed Dietitian. He has completed extensive training in Laser Therapy and his practice is in an approved IRB.
